I replaced my rear tail lamps from the OEM Euro version to the non Euor version and now the brake lights stay on. Prior to the replacement they worked fine. The reason I replaced them was they were both broken due to a collision this is the bulb holder it originally had Pic 1 This is the original light on the car. Uses the bulb holder in Pic 1. This is the type I installed with its bulb holder. Pic 2. The electrical plug fits the 2 different bulb holders
Is there a difference in the wiring between the bulb holder in PIC 1 and the Bulb holder for PIC 3
Thank you for your response. I was able to resolve the issue by disconnecting the the reverse lamp circuit from the connector. Since the lights I am using had no reverse lamp, the reverse lamp circuit was powering the top lamp circuit whenever the car was in reverse I set it up so that both the top and bottom circuits will serve as brake lamps. The bottom secondary filament remain as my parking lamps.
I will look for a pair of the correct lights and restore it to its original configuration.
Thanks again.
