i joined the forums a few years ago but got distracted by life in general and never introduced myself- hi! i'm bekah, and i hail from glorious and cosmopolitan oklahoma city, ok.


i bought my first MINI (a pepper white/black top 6 speed named martin, as in martin gore of depeche mode) 12 years ago just bc i thought they were cute, and it took about an hour to decide i'd never drive anything else. he finally died last month after 150k miles worth of motoring... (RIP, buddy- you were my first true car-love)

just brought the new boy home a couple of weeks ago: 2019 in british racing green- 6 speed forever, bc my grandfather taught me to drive on a stick, telling me that the boys (my brothers) shouldn't know how to do something i don't, and i love having something that reminds me of him every day (also i like saying no when folks invariably say "oooooh i've never driven one of those, could i....?" NOPE!).

the new boy's name is fletch for the late andrew fletcher, also of depeche mode (hey guys i like depeche mode can you tell). he's only got 18k miles on him and got him for a steal and while i'm still getting to know him, i already adore him completely🖤

anyway, i'm a rambler, clearly... in summation: nice to meet y'all- i look forward to getting to know some fellow MINI enthusiasts and learning some pro tips to keep this new boy looking and feeling sparky for a long, long time!

I’m also a big fan with a Depeche themed MINI named Little 15. It likes to pretend it’s a race car and has a couple of Depeche easter eggs in its livery. I Just Can’t Get Enough of being Behind the Wheel.
