For about a year my wife has said she wanted a convertible. She's only driven Fords for about 15 years so she drove a 6 cylinder Mustang and she hated it. They had an all black Mini Cooper S Convertible that she loved, so today she bought it.

Now its time for the dutiful husband to make it hers. I've done some research, investigating and easy stuff like updating users, satellite radio, FM presets and such. It appears the previous owner did some customization because some things on the front end (grill, headlamp rings and hood badge) are black. The steering wheel has red stitching and a John Cooper Works badge. No other JCW identification that I can see. Any ideas on that? I do not see satellite navigation anyplace. I guess we do not have it. Can it be added? It also appears to not have a reverse camera, which my wife really wants. Anyone add one? I know it can be done. We'll probably add some rally stripes.

I'm a "back roads" guy already, so I'm definitely ready for some cursing. I see that we have the Minis on the Dragon drive/rally to look forward to and plenty of meet-ups to attend.

What else do I need to know?
