Don't you hate it when this happens?

Poor Gilbert M Cooper is dead now. He was a 2003 MCS in PERFECT condition including brand new tires. I just hope the insurance pay out will be enough to order another just like it.
SORRY ABOUT THE PICTURES NOT SHOWING. PLEASE SEE FOLLOWING POSTS

Thanks for asking. The driver is perfectly fine (with the exception of a couple if bruises from the airbag and seatbelt) thanks to the amazing safety engineering of the Cooper. In fact, once I realized what had happened, I was just simply amazed and relieved that I wasn't hurt.
I was trying to make a lane change to exit the freeway, looked over my shoulder but when my eyes returned to the road ahead I saw brakelights coming up fast.
I stomped on the brakes which reduced my speed from around 55 to around 35 mph. I rear ended a dodge pick-up and the nose of the mini became buried into the two large steal beams that comprise the frame of the truck.

Ouch!

Wow, what a wreck! So sorry, Larabees, about the accident.
You are SO lucky that you weren't injured. This is yet another example of the safety engineered into our MINIs.
