Long time listener first time caller

Hello all! I finally obtained my first Mini after wanting one since they first came out. My 06 is a base model former farm car. It has electrical gremlins and is full of water. I've been trying to revive it to the best of my ability. I'm chasing down corrosion in harness connectors and am cleaning the farm funk out of it. But for 192K I have to say it drives amazing. I really enjoy it. It was snowy today so I spent the day cleaning what appeared to be manure out of the tool kit under the rear floor. This site appears to be a wealth of knowledge and I will endeavor to not ask too many stupid questions. Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome! You're right about the work. I think maybe I have more than I can handle. My wonderful running car is now dead in my driveway with what I'm guessing is immobilizer / DME issues. If I can't figure it out in a couple of days I think this will be the shortest ownership stint of any car I've ever had. Which is sad because I love driving it.

Hmmm, full of water... I just did that one. Get ready to strip out the interior to get the carpet out and dry, because there are far too many major connectors on the sides in the footwells that could mimic immobilizer issues. Particularly the one on the left bottom that feeds the CPU in the speedometer assembly.

Actually sounds like the Legacy wagon I had that used to live on a sheep farm. Cleaned straw and "other materials" out of it for a year... 😛
