My first Mini

Long time Bmw owner, and I just bought my first Mini. 05 R53 MCS 6 speed. Just wanted to say hi.

Installed a boost pressure gauge last week and I also did straight pipe exhaust.

Those are some nice looking welds. Also dropped a lot of weight there! How loud is it??

About your boost gauge... I would guess that most people don't mount gauges there due to the airbag behind the A pillar. I really know nothing about the subject so this is a question not criticism, what happens to that gauge/pillar in the event the airbag deploys??

Thanks, the exhaust sounds great, I am a little surprise by the amount of exhaust run offs it has. I am not that worried about the air bags, for how cheap the car was, if something was to happen to it I probably wouldn’t be repairing it. Or I might relocate it.

there’s a plastic tube on the rod, where the **** sit. I had to cut some off to make room for the new ****.
