Hello - newbie

Hi all! Just joined. I had a 03 S for many years before I had to sell to get my college daughter a camry. I loved every second I had my mini. I am now in the market for another and I have settled on 2013 JCW or GP. The GP2 right now is a bit out of my price range. I have been looking for a JCW with less than 65k miles and dark in color. I have scoured the internet and just cant seem to locate anything right now. I subscribe to bringatrailer.com as well. Any advise you guys can offer would be appreciated. Any advantage or downfalls to buying an S and doing the upgrade?

EDIT - I am looking hard at a 2015 S with the JCW dealer installed tune and exhaust. If I get I would install a AEM or Craven cold air intake and JB4 module. Pluses? minuses?

Thanks in advance!!

Evan

Welcome to the forum. I went the other way. I bought a MINI so my daughter could drive my daily driver in the summer and when her brother was on winter break.

The 2013 S would be my choice if I ever wanted to change MINIs. I am surprised that you would be looking at a third generation 2015 after focusing on the second generation 2013.

I am really glad the I went with the 3rd generation. I like the styling of the second, but the third is growing on me more and more.

Welcome!

Forge and Burger intake are lower cost option, the Eventuri has to be the most popular, but it does come with a price.
