Old Man - New Owner

I bought a 2012 S Clubman this afternoon, and I have been exploring its features. I plan to plug in a Tune2Air device, to stream my iphone to the car radio, but I cannot find the USB plug. I found the MP3 input, but no USB. The owner's manual says it is just to the left of the MP3 input, but I cannot see it. An ambient light is about an inch and a half to the left of the MP3 input.

Are there any known problems with this year and model? What octane gasoline is preferred?

I'm sure I will have more questions to come, so please bear with me!

One more question - which scan tools are recommended? I did a quick search on the website, and I could not find any recommendations. I look at Carly's website, and I found that Amazon has a good selection of scan tools. I have two BMWs, and many BMW owners use Carly scan tools.

Welcome! I love my Clubman. Please post pictures when you can.

If you have the USB input, the port should look like this:

For gas, I use 91-93 in mine, but I'm also tuned. You'll get best performance from premium, and by using "Top Tier" suppliers.

I also use Carly for scanning, but the Foxwell NT530 is also a popular option.

Thank you for the information! My plug-in below the dash is like that, but without the USB connection. It only has the "Aux-In" socket.
I use Shell Premium fuel in the BMW, so I'll do the same for the Mini.

You should still be able to use the tune-2-air, you just won't have steering wheel controls. Route the USB to the lighter port with a charge port plug.

Thank you. I'll try that. One of my BMWs has a Tune2Air, so I'll take it out and try it. Not having steering wheel controls is not a big deal to me.

Here are some photos of my Clubman. It is raining today, and I don't want to get it wet! I am a 74-year old photography fan, and the BMW is not practical for hauling photo gear around. My wife won't let me use her X3, so the Clubman is exactly what I need!

Looks great! You're going to love the cargo versatility of the Clubman.
