New Member Checking In!

Good morning! Short time lurker, first time poster. Bought a 2005 MCS in April 2020 for cheap and am in the process of getting it fixed up. Have already changed the oil, and replaced the rear motor mount as well as the lower control arm bushings.

Unfortunately this Mini needs a bit more TLC in order to be perfect (some possibly bad and ugly wiring, chassis bushings, passenger door lock and key remote not working, hard shift into and out of 3rd gear).

Fortunately for me, I have nearly of not all of the tools required to work an any car, my dad, a lifelong mechaninc, lefty me all of his stuff when he passed so I am pretty much completely outfitted. He to look for guidance as well as help folks when I can.

Whoever had this car before me added the ugly "Turbo" stripes. Definitely not a turbo. LOL. Gonna get those removed and the car painted as soon as all mechanical work is done.

Welcome to NAM! Love the mellow yellow...if that color would have been available when I was buying, there’s no doubt I would have picked it. Turbo...guess there was not enough space for supercharger? 😀

LOL! I am pretty sure the previous owner put some aftermarket stripes on this Mini. It is definitely Supercharged. As soon as all mech work is complete, it's getting painted.
