Purchased my first ever Mini and first ever Manual. Been a car guy my whole life and after alot of test drives chose this Mini. Not sure what it is though. It has a lot of Cooper Works parts but none of the hardware so to speak IE no JCW exhaust or brake kit. Either way I’m happy with my purchase it makes people smile, look and wave. I’ve only had it four days lol. Can’t wait to learn all I can about this little gal. She’s properly quick though. Side view from my overnight shift. Ignore the decals and stick on bits. They’ll be removed later. In the BMW registry it says my car is a Cooper S. If so this is ALOT of work for the Cooper Works look. More Cooper Works bits someone tried really hard to make it look the part. Notice no big red brake kit.
Congratulations on your new MINI. It looks great. Thanks for sharing the pictures. You may need to head west to find some twisting roads to see how the MINI is in its natural environment.
I have heard that there is an active Philly group that you may want to check out.
Welcome. I recently bought a 2015 MC, also black, but mine does not have any JCW stickers. Mine is a Justa. It sounds like the previous owner, of your’s, really wanted a JCW.....
From my knowledge all manual transmissions get the JCWs steering wheel. If you try to configure a MT, the steering wheel changes automatically. I assume the non-JCWs has the paddle shifters or something. And I've been thinking/considering the JCW Pro Exhaust upgrade, which comes with various JCWs decals/badges. I was considering if I'd even add them to my S. I guess there's a market for them if I don't use them.
And where are you from South Jersey? I grew up in Hammonton (halfway between Philly and AC).
