So it's my first mini.

So it's my first mini. Got it for a deal . No key with it so I found a place on eBay for all of it from. Computer ,key, slot for key with button and box under dash pad. Now I just changed it all but my car is a 09 stuff came out of a 2011 my car is a manual. I think the computer came from a automatic. Here's why I say that I push in the clutch and it dose nothing if I hold brake and clutch it starts is this normal or did the computer come out of a automatic?? Can I just stick my computer back in ??

Not sure what you paid for you eBay find, but you may have been better off just to buy a key. I did the same thing, bought a car with no key and for $200 I got a key from the dealer, VIN locked and ready to go. The fact that the car had a bad motor was the part that the seller left out...

Ok

I paid 200 from eBay for the set. I paid 300 for the car. Dealers new me said 400 for the key they don't do it in house has to go to manufacturer cause it's a 09.
So my question is can I just put my ecu back in but leave everything else I got in it??
