my wife bought a 2013 cooper S (r 56 i think) about a yr ago, everything was going great until today, the car on the lift light came on in red, turn signals, left and right brake lights, hazard lights and windows all stopped working, can someone point me in a direction to make repairs ?
thanks in advance

Hi Pete,
Checking with an OBD2 scanner would be your best way to find out, but I will tell you there has been issues with the ignition switch. A 13 Cooper 3 is a good car with a good engine, so I would not freak out.
Possible one of the major fuses could have gone also.
Check the common problems area on here and maybe it will take you to the fix!
Welcome to NAM!

I recommend, that everyone that owns a car (Mini) have one. There are several out there. I carry mine in the car ( ICarSoft ) and carry a Blue driver with my truck. Easy to plug in and read with a smart phone (@ about 100 bucks) It is money well spent and can get you out of trouble when you are on the road! (It works with Mini also)
You can take it to Autozone and they will scan for free, but they are not very good at diagnosing!

went to autozone and no codes showed up, i got a better run down of what doesnt work, turn signals, high beams, fog lights, left and right brake light ( third brake light works), turn signals, hazard lights, interior lights, ambient lights..... i checked fuses, they are good, there is a relay thats in with the fuses that was extremely hot, but the relay isnt listed on the back of fuse cover

Many times Mini Coopers will have poor grounding due to corroded grounding. They ground from two main areas. 02 to 08, which are on the passenger side wheel well (a bolt with many wires connected) It should be removed and the body and terminal should be cleaned. On the inside under the carpet at the center hump, there is another grounding of many wires on the terminal. The same thing should be done there too!
On lighting, bulbs should be checked and if old replaced.
