Hey all,

I’m the new guy, well...kind of new. I’ve been looking at the posts from NAM for a few weeks, as, I have just picked up a 2008 Mini Cooper S hardtop for, what I thought was a good price, only to realize it hasn’t been well maintained. I have been wanting to get a Mini for a while, so I took the plunge. I actually wanted a project! It’s a hobby of mine to work on cars. You have all already helped me with several repairs, and for that I thank you.

Thanks! These are photos from the person I bought it off of because it’s in service mode right now. I’m taking the turbo out to send the wastgate out to be rebuilt. I had a problem getting the oil return line bolt out, so I’m going to cut it and get the bolt out when I pull the whole turbo out. I’m replacing that hose anyway.

 

Wow! I said OUT allot. I think this bolt is welded on.

 

I just realized that it’s a hex bolt, I’m an idiot.
