OK, sounds like Xenons might be worth the expense for you.
If there is not enough budget for the H/K then so be it. If you can possibly stretch for it then be sure to give it a listen with your own CDs during the test drive. Sounds like you do a commute so the nice music would be worth it in my opinion except if all you listen to are talk shows on the radio.

NAM has regional forums for different clubs and events- I did find this one in Texas worth a look-

You might want to check it out with a road trip to see MINIs in action on the track to get an idea if this is what you want to do. In which case both an MC or MCS would do OK.

Also your dealership will be able to tell you about any MINI club in your area (hopefully).

I'll be sure to do those things Minihune. As far as the sound system goes what I really want is a Phatbox. Bad thing is I can't find it for the mini beneath the makers price of $650. The phatbox for VW's has been reduced in price and I can get it for $300. But there is of course the different connection issue which means buying a different connector etc.

I'm going to check out that club in texas and I am definitely going for a test drive saturday.

Matt, check out the Gulf Coast forum here on NAM! It's comprised of the gulf region between Texas, to New Orleans, to MS, AL and the panhandle of FL!

Here's the link:

BTW, I like the Xenon's because my night-vision isn't great and they really make a difference! Also, the foglights are good, too!

My first car was a '72 super Beetle. Does that qualify me?

This pushes me to 10 posts. I wonder if I am out of neutral yet?

Once you have driven a Mini Cooper S, you fall in lust with the experience. Mini people are the nicest people. Chicks love Minis. Thats all I have to say.
