Buying First Mini Cooper

hey guys/girls, new member here. I’m planning on purchasing my first Mini Cooper. I’ve previously owned a 2016 mx5 Miata and decided to switch to a mini after a test drive. I’m looking at a gen 3 cooper S and have heard no many horror stories about owing a mini and would like to ask the members here on this site which ones the best one to purchase.

If you currently/previously owned a 3rd gen please let me know if you had issues with it.

The new F series are rated pretty high for reliabliy. I would skip year one of the F56 and look for 2015 or newer

Yep, first years are always buggy, 2015+ you will be fine. If you mod it the 2.0L has more options. The nice thing is the 1.5L is now a turbo so you have turbos across the board.
