I just picked up a 10' R56 and I'm loving it! She's totally unadultered and only has 17,000 miles so I figured it would be a perfect blank canvas. I'm not 100% sure what I want to do with it yet (EDD vs Track) so for starters I just want to immerse myself in this forum and read as much as I can. I figure it'll be a few months of the "gathering phase" and then I'll get to work! Really looking forward to digging into all of the awesome resources here
Hi and welcome to the NAM family, 2010R56!
Congrats on your buy! A great looking Mini (although, I do hate the chrome looking hood scoop!
There is tons of info here, to get your Mini, The way you want it!
Welcome to the forum and the MINI experience. Great plan to keep it the way it is for a little while and enjoy it as it is. You will appreciate the improvements when you remember what it was before the mods.
That said, I agree with the decision to replace the chrome hood scoop as soon as possible.
at home in the garage ...
This Mini has been in the family since it was purchased new. I don't drive very much during the Arizona summers but it's a blast to drive during the cooler (non-summer) days.

Great looking, low mileage MINI and, like you say, a blank canvas. Unless you have the service history. I would suggest changing all the fluids and doing a compression test. It will give you a good base starting point. Welcome to the modness...
