Got one for the wife
Been hiding this little bugger at work for a week and a half now.
2006 NA. 54k miles. Gave 5k. Seemed like a decent deal to make my wife happy for our 16th anniversary. She's been wanting one forever.
was never super interested myself but I have to say, it's pretty fun to drive and I've missed a manual transmission.

Hi and welcome to NAM!
I hope the color inside and out, pass her expectations! It is the best year for the gen 1 Mini. I had a 2006 Mini Justa with 5 speed manual and really loved the way it drove, handled and managed fuel. The stick shift allowed it to get 44 mpgs when freeway driving and 40 mpgs on our rural roads! I really do miss that car, but retained my 06 MCS JCW and drive it daily!
I hope your wife is thrilled and know this: Most men that buy these for the wife, but drive it a little themselves, usually need to get a "s" with 6 speed, to add to the family!
Let us know, when you get yours!
I get around 29mpgs with my supercharged model!

She was definitely surprised and she's definitely giddy.
We did test drive an S model a while back. I think it was an 08 turbo. It certainly would get out of its own way. I'm a little averse to the idea of a FI motor though. Maintenance and repair costs for one. Also, I'm less enthralled with straight line speed than I am with cornering speed. These things really do remind me of a go-kart. I bet they're a lot of fun on a track!
Thanks for the welcome.
