Yukoner here

Hi all. Looks like a great resource for us North American's. I am up in Whitehorse Yukon. As far as I know there are only 2 minis on the road in town. My 1979 Canadian export model and a 1992 Rover import.

My mini; Cooper esque. It had a Janspeed stage 3 head when I bought it. I have since installed Twin HS2's, MED stub stacks, ITG filter, Front disc brake conversion (rear drums to follow). Other basic mods; Gold sports coil, pertronix ignitor electronic ignition, new rad and thermostat housing, new temp sender, new speedometer.

I bought it restored. Work done on resto; new custom stitched seats, headliner, carpets, door hardware kit, all rubber seals, windshield, front subframe powder coated. all parts removed from shell and professionally painted.

Welcome to NAM.

Great looking Mini you have there.

Now remember that there are a few smart asses here, so to take their thunder away, what do the other 10 people in the town drive?

dogsleds

Mostly dogsleds and snowmobiles. After all we do have 10 months of winter here and no daylight.

Before you can live in Whitehorse you have to complete the Yukon quest so its a big part of the culture here

Welcome to the forum and Mini Ownership. Great looking car.

To our friend in the bustling metropolis of Fuquay-Varina, Whitehorse is the largest city in Northern Canada.
