Mini Newbie here!!

Hello all !
New to this Mini thing. Hope I got a great car to do some traveling in since I had to hang up my helmet for awhile due to some recent surgeries. Wife always said, "if we stop touring by motorcycle, I would like a convertible sports car". So being the great guy that I am (Ha!), I made good on my promise. That little car has started to grow on me I have to admit, time will tell. Anyways, Hello from Wisconsin and hope I can gather some great info on here about this vehicle and hopefully I can contribute also. Mac

Plus if you happen to drop a wheel off the pavement, the repercussions are not as significant as if you were on the bike.

Hi and welcome to NAM!
Nice Mini!

After 60 years of riding Motorcycles, I had to hang it up this year. I have rheumatoid arthritis and worn out ankles, hips and knees. I will miss this alot, but my Mini has given me the thrill I have always enjoyed on my two wheeled machines!

Back in '13 I had a '09 KLR650 Kawasaki and was up in the woods looking for a place to go bow hunting and "rubber necking" and had a tree take me down. Broke my Rt. leg in 8 places, so I went to a Can-Am Spyder. Then last year I had my Lt. foot operated on and had a boat load of bone removed, so it was time. The Mini is the only small sports car that I can get into and out of without any issues. I really like this little car and it is a blast to drive and the wife is really in love with it, so I killed two birds with one stone! Mac
