Central WA Countryman

Recently bought a 2014 Countryman S All4. Super happy with it and SUPER happy we ditched our Outback to get this. Hooray for kids growing up a bit to not need such a humongous kid seat. Looks like I am the third owner and the previous two were happy to go to the dealer for service. Lots of service records along the way.

Two questions someone may be able to help with as they read this.

1--I'd love to have a shop manual for it, but can't find a PRINTED one anywhere. Where do Mini-mechs get their proper info? I'd love to have a reference for in the garage, preferably not tied to a computer.

2--It has a MINI brand roof rack on it, but no keys. I can get it off the hard way, but would love to find some keys. Thought I read that it was made by Thule, but gambled $10 on two keys from them and they don't even fit into the locks. Interestingly, older Thule keys DO fit in, but that may not mean that rack/locks came from Thule. Lock code is 009. If you have keys, let's work a deal for me getting a copy from you!

Put Pirelli non-runflat tires on it last week. Made a huge difference in comfort and general quietness of the ride, but took away from the flat cornering. Still a change I am happy enough with, but we definitely gave up something in the chicanes.

Looking forward to using this site as a collaborative resource.

Jef

1. No shop manuals, everything on computer now. This might help https://www.newtis.info

2. Go to nearest MINI dealer and see if they can help you out with keys. I had an issue with the wheels locks on my used MINI CM and they just swapped the key out for me no charge.

Welcome.

Welcome to NAM, an All4s is a great handling MINI.

Pictures are always good.

Normally regular tires handle better than runflats.

Mini.the.Moocher--Thanks, I think... The info on that site is definitely not in a user friendly format. Wow. Even if it is digital, I feel better having a manual around. Need to keep looking, I guess.
