Although I only just recently joined the forums, I've had a MINI for around a year or so now.
It's actually my first car (daily driver to work and college) and it's been great so far! My only serious issue was the harsh bone-shattering ride, but now that it's not on run-flat tires it's...tolerable. I got my 2013 Cooper S used and completely stock with around 8,000 miles on it - now it's at almost double that mileage!
Currently it's still pretty much stock, though I've made a few minor cosmetic changes (yellow fog lamp film, debadge, tiny antenna, black arch lights from WMW, and those smoked LED scuttle lights that seem to be everywhere). As far as mechanical mods, I'm currently looking to get a Burger JB+ module, and maybe do a resonator delete. I've already been inspired by forum users' cars and I've got quite a few more ideas in mind for future!
I apologize for the poor photos and the ghostly double vision in the front picture, not sure what happened there...
