Welcome to the forum. What are you looking for in a new MINI, the forum members will be able to give you great insight into what to look for and what to avoid?

Are you looking for a daily driver, or a summer toy, do you want it to be loaded with technology or simple basic driving machine, are you looking for fun for the family or just the drive and an occasional passenger, where would you rank your interest in a comfort and conveniences to pure speed/handling scale...

looking for a toy that i can use occasionally around town i like the 2002 to 2006 i find tbe dashboard more pleasing. It has to be a Cooper S and the sound of the supercharger is what sealed the deal for me 😁

Great, can't wait to see what you get. Make sure you get it inspected prior to purchase.

The first generation MINIs are a great choice. I find the first generation to be more of a pure experience without some of the technology and size of the later generations. They are more extreme, have a less comfortable ride and so on which make them more of a toy and less practical. (The other generations are great for other reasons.)

I recommend that you look for a later year of the first generation 05 or 06 or up to 08 for the convertible. There were some bugs from the earlier years that they worked out in the later years.

Welcome to NAM and the wild wonderful world of all that is MINI...

Some really great roads up there, I'm a GEN 1 guy but drive many different models and find the one that speaks to you, you never regret getting what you want.

Best of luck.

Motor On!

The chron package ones have really nice looks!
Here are a couple of mine:

Itsme Wayne's 05 s Chrono package (sold)

Itsme Wayne's Chrono package 06 MCS JCW
The chrome rings on the 05 look really nice. The dulled rings on the 06 JCW do not throw sunlight in your eyes in the curves!
