hey all! iv been browsing this forum for months and i would like to thank you all for the wealth of knowledge that helped me throughout the buying process of my first mini. just moved to the burbs and needed a second car so decided on this 2007 R52s Laser Blue Metallic with 97k miles 6 speed MT.this is my first mini and my first convertible and i have to admit that it is the most fun car that i have ever owned.

Be sure to clean and lube the vert top rails. If you have not already done so, do some research in the Stock Problems/Issues and DIY sections.

 

I was expecting burgers and fries in this post.

Thanks for the tip. Did that yesterday as well as well as clean and protect the top with some raggtop. What a difference!

You can't go wrong with a R52! Great looking car.


Don't forget to service your top (clean and seal the cloth) there should be videos on what and how to do it.

thank you all. had some free time this past weekend so had a chance to clean and treat the top, replace the ambient temp sensor (ac wasnt working and thanks to all your help i was able to trace it back to the temp sensor. it was completely missing and looked like the wires were dragging on the pavement. good as new now), fixed PDC (again, thanks to all of you i was able to trace it back to just a blown fuse), and had some fun w/ plastidip. check it out

Hi and welcome to the NAM family! Lots of info here, which will help to keep your 07 MCS in good shape and help with any issues you may experience. The is information on convertible top issues and the two micro switches on the rear door and rear tray. If they are not pressed in, the top will not operate!
