Well, I recently purchased a 2003 Mini S from a friend of mine. They were getting rid of it and I was looking for something smaller to drive regularly other than my F450..,quite a drastic change, Ha! The truck can take a break now! Anyway, it was rediculously cheap and runs like a rat on acid, so I think I'm gonna love this car! My friend is a racer, competatively he and his wife race offshore boats, motorcycles, UTV's, and cars in several circuits. This was a project car for him I think as he loves to build things. The engine has been bored, custom forged pistons, Rods, ARP studs, ported head, ported supercharger, 17% pulley, lightweight clutch and flywheel, Way Motorsports reflash, and of coarse brakes/rotors etc.
I've been driving this thing for a week and can't wipe the smile off my face, Haha! Never knew these could handle and drive like this!
Anyway, my beater Mini has 268,000 miles on it and I love it! Btw, motor only had 30,000 on it.
I look forward to reading and learning more about this little car.
Mike
Thanks for the welcomes! I've owned C4 and C5 corvettes, camaros, mustangs, and a prized Turbo Buick, so I know performance cars. This thing is as much or more fun than any of them!
Hi and welcome to the NAM family!
You have the same "feel" for these cars as most of us have. They handle like a go kart and are the living end, when driving in the twisties!
Congrats!
