Hello from Germany

Hey everyone,
Just picked up my 2017 Cooper S (Olivia) a few weeks ago. Currently living in Germany but shes a US spec. Just finished with the break in and took it for a nice little ride on the autobahn. Wish the weather was a little nicer but it was still nice enough to see what she could do. Looking forward to making a few minor upgrades because why not. I'm usually more of a Jeep guy but my old TJ would have never passed inspections in Germany so I had to leave her behind. Ill pick up another one when I go back to the states in a few years. Looking forward to searching the forum to see what people have done to their F56.

This is the only pic I while it was still clean. They use so much salt over here its impossible to keep it clean for more than 5 minutes. Where were you in Germany?

Wow, that is one great looking Mini. Yeah, I remember trying to keep my car clean and going through a bottle or two of windshield washer fluid, lol. My first tour I was in Bamberg 81-83, Karlsrule 85-90, Stuttguart 92-93. I've been back lots of time since I retired. We take Military Hops. Last year we flew into Ramstein, drove over to Nuremberg for the Christmas Market, Vilseck to see an old Army buddy, Czech republic, Porsche Museum, Strassburg, Luxembourg and back to Ramstein. I feel like a grew up there in Germany being there so many times. Good times! Enjoy your stay.

Thank you. Yeah I have been through a few bottles of washer fluid already this winter. Man you really got around. I haven't been to Czech yet but we plan on going once the weather is a little nicer. It's a pretty short drive.

I'm not sure if we get to keep them or if we have to turn them in once we ship our car back. Hopefully it will be able to stay there. My power module just came in from you guys a few days ago, thanks for getting it here so fast.

I loved driving over there. Great place to be assigned. I spent '74-'79 in Deutschland, sudlich von Muchen (sorry, no umlauts on my keyboard), in Bad Toelz. Wish I could have been there longer. Traveled as much as we could... make sure you do the same.

Awesome place to drive a Mini! Take pics of your travels and post!!
