I picked up an R53 for $2,500 with only 30,000 miles on the clock. Quite the score if you ask me.
I've noticed that it has:
-AC Schnitzer Strut Brace ($300)
-AC Schnitzer Valve Cover (??)
-AC Schnitzer Wheels (??)
-AC Schnitzer Clutch, Accelerator, and brake pedals (??)
-AC Schnitzer Handbrake and shift-**** (??)
-AC Schnitzer Tune :D
-Brembo big front brake kit ($Alot.)
Why did I get this mini so cheap?
Well let me start off by saying, I bought this car from a salvage yard, and I can only assume they did not know what they had. However, those Brembos are hard to miss...
That being said, The car has horrible hail damage. There is a dent on every panel on the body, especially the hood. I replaced the windshield, L headlight, lf inner ball join, rear control arms, and battery. I also had to replace the sunroof. In addition the speakers aren't hooked up(How horrible right?) and the drivers side window doesn't work.
I also just bought a set of 4 new OZ racing ultraleggeras because the AC Schnitzer wheels were damaged.
Fortunately, I don't care about the dents because I find it to be beautiful anyway. I will likely be around these forums a lot.
I plan on:
Alta sway bar
17% recuction
Better Intercooler
Cooler Plugs
CIA

Don't know where you are but I have several used sunroofs from several MINIs we have parted out I'd sell super cheap if you pick up as they just don't ship well. We are in Atlanta.
We also have all the performance stuff you are looking for as we can make some better suggestions and give you the best build.

Wow, what a great find. November seems to have been a good month for finding deals on Mini's. I got one too. An 04, rare edition. 40th Anniversary, full JCW (aero kit, engine mods, 18 inch wheels etc.) was even autographed by the factory. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. Cheers
