Hey Folks,

New to the Mini world as of 3 months ago. Needed a new car and decided to see what the whole Mini fuss was all about. Turns out it's a blast to own one of these. Been a Volvo fan for most of my life but these little cars really drive great.

If there are any cruises in the Santa Cruz area please let me know and I'll be there in a jiffy. And ahead of time, I just want to thank the people that wrote all the threads that have helped me so far. Some very knowledgeable people on this site. I'm more used to the Volvo forums with people making fun of others, arguing with each other, internet tough guys, etc. I'm all about playful banter but when you're trying to get a straight answer and it turns into a d*** measuring competition you stop wanting to log in.

Anyway, a little about my car. Nothing crazy but it's special to me:

2004 Cooper S
MC 40
Alta Intake
Milltek Catback
H&R Springs
His name is "Jumbo".

Money permitting, speed and handling improvements coming soon.

I look forward to getting to know you folks.

A couple pics of Jumbo:

Welcome to NAM, dansaf, and the world of MINI motoring. She is a beaut, and I love the color combination. Picked up an R53 in April and I can't stop grinning. How many miles?

Let us know your upcoming mods and I'm sure we can help you out. Looks like you have a good start already! Also, check our website for performance upgrade guides and articles that will help you each step of the way.

Congrats!

Drive Hard. Drive Safe. Keep Grinning.

Hi and welcome to nam, dansaf. Nice Mini you latched onto.
I live in southern Oregon and want to organize an up the coast trip this coming summer. I need to find as many Mini owners to want to get involved in the trip.
I am glad you are enjoying your ride!

Hello dansaf,

I been a Volvo fan and on the Volvo forums for years also. Understand exactly what you are saying ... especially where I hang out in the R Forum.

VERY nice looking MINI you found ... Congrats!

Enjoy "Jumbo" and NAM ... Welcome!

Thanks! This has already proven to be a waaay better forum with better people and attitudes.

Here's a pic of the old Swedish beast. Was a nice part of my life but the new chapter is titled "Mini".
