Hi All,
I'm not a mini owner, but I do work on them from time to time. Current project car is a 2010, which dropped a valve seat. After re-assembly, it's now misfiring, unless I momentarily disconnect one of the cam sensors.
Hopefully my experiences in getting the car back in shape will benefit other members, as I seek to figure out what the car's problem(s) may be.

MCS will follow many of the same problems, but there is no Valvetronic system on the N14, so either timing, bent valves, cam sensor.
It's a normally aspirated MC. I've double checked the cam timing, and all is in order - locking tools drop into place with the crank locked. Runs great if I disconnect either of the cam position sensors momentarily. Is there a How-To on relearning the valvtronic stops?
(Thanks for your reply, by the way.)

MC or MCS? The MC requires you to relearn the Valvetronic stops if the Valvetronic unit is removed, which is required to pull the cams to fix valve problems, start with relearning the stops if it is an MC. If that doesn't fix it next guess would be either timing is off, you have bent valves somewhere, or the very slim chance that one of the cam sensors is failing.
