Just picked up a Mini!

Just picked up a 2013 R56s 2 weeks ago. Oh man, I am loving my commute now. This thing is so much fun! I'm so tempted to start modding it. Hope to get a lot of good advice on here!

Hi that! Welcome to NAM and congrats on your new purchase. Would love to see some pictures of your R56 and learn about what mods, if any, the previous owner might of made. How many miles?

Please check our website where you will find free application guides for service, maintenance, accessories, and performance upgrades. It's good to be sure everything is spot on before making modifications.

The performance guide shows the recommended path for engine upgrades, drivetrain, suspension, and brakes. For instance, for more horsepower:

1. cold air intake
2. cat back exhaust
3. supercharger pulley with colder plugs
4. ecu upgrade
5. intercooler upgrade
6. larger injectors
7. cylinder head (stage 1 or 2)
8. camshaft

For handling check our site for lowering springs, coil overs and sway bars. If you want to modify for solo, autocross or the track we have some great reference materials online as well.

Most importantly, feel free to ask! Don't forget to sign up for member discounts, too.

Drive Hard. Drive Safe. Keep Grinning.

Please feel free to ask any and all questions!

Welcome to NAM! Congratulations on the purchase of your R56. Fun little buggers aren't they? If you ever need anything or have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Enjoy your time here.
