Another Canuck newbie
Thanks for the help so far folks - much appreciated. Figured I better introduce the Justa that I got for my wife recently......
Showing off its' winter shoes!
'07 Hardtop
Manual
Heated seats
A couple of buttons on the steering wheel that do zip
Purchased just after a fresh oil change, tranny fluid swap, timing chain tensioner install, and replacement of: oil pressure switch, intake cam solenoid and fuel filler cap.
So far: completed Out of Province inspection (without issue), swapped to the summer tires, replaced the hood grill chrome trim piece that had cracked tabs and was falling off, replaced a missing license plate light lens cover, created a temporary battery cover for the MIA piece that means you need to replace the half cowl section (that's just bad design).
Ordered: OBD wifi sender device, the damn cowl piece in order to get a battery lid, various routine maintenance items (filters mostly), Sprint Booster - oh and a set of H&R coilovers (have no idea if their stuff plays well with the R56, but it was too good a price to pass up!).
In the near future: some new rubber to go on the Konig Ultra Racing rims I have sitting here. Drive it and figure out what else it's gonna need (fingers are crossed, but I read enough before buying it to know that SOMETHING is going to break).
Anyone got additional suggestions to help extend the life of the N12? Routine oil changes (8k kms - virtually all highway - and checks in between) are the obvious. On race bikes and high performance Volvos (that is NOT an oxymoron btw) I've always used water wetter to help keep temps down a bit - appropriate here too? Overall not really interested in doing a bunch of engine 'power' upgrades (I would've got her the S if that had been important), just hoping it holds together for another 100k kms!
Thanks again for the help to date.

Welcome, On the N12 not as many problem as the early N14, just change the oil at eevery 5,000 - 7,500 miles and you will be fine. Most people who are track people or in very hot climates will run wetter water. But for others its just coolant flushes that work best.
The buttons on the steering wheel for the bluetooth only work it you have that option,
Or added this on: 65412152530 MINI Bluetooth Retrofit Kit W/ USB/Audio Interface
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...rofit-kit.html
otherwise they are dummies, now the stereo and cruise button will function.
Looks like you have the 16" R90 one pieces wheels, very rare. Nice MINI !
