'04 Cooper Owner...

Hello to one and all. Just re-purchased an '04 Solid Gold R50 with panoramic sunroof from my in-laws. My wife purchased this car in '04, sold it to my in laws a few years later for my sister in law to drive. Just bought the car back with 124K on the odometer, and a few bumps and bruises from a high school girl driving it. She finally graduated college and recently bought a new Subaru Crosstrek.
The Mini is replacing an '02 Taurus I was driving, due to the engine being on its way out. She's a 5-speed, 1.6 liter beast of a girl. I didn't realize how much I missed driving a manual until I got her back, and my wife is TRULY thrilled that she is back in our ownership.
Did some cleaning, some minor fixing...new hood emblem, new boot struts, added some rubber Mini floor and boot mats. Got a new set of front marker lenses coming, and need to respray the front bumper cover.
She's got a new clutch, 3 news wheels, new A/C components and new passenger a-pillar airbag, after my sis in law hit a pothole a few years back.
Future plans include rear sway bar, new struts, exhaust and cold air intake. Just gonna get me to work until I can upgrade to a Clubman S or Dodge Charger R/T.
Located in the Texas Panhandle. I'm a UPS Driver that's been married for 14 years and have 3 beautiful kids. Look forward to chatting on the forum and researching tricks and tips on these wonderful cars.

Since you have a panoramic roof I would make sure the drain tubes and sunroof rains are clean,. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...the-r53-5.html
