I just got my first Mini a few days ago (05 COOPER S JCW) I can't believe how much fun it is to drive (especially around curves)
Here's a picture:
I only got one key with the car, and the keyfob buttons don't seem to work. I tried the voodoo trick (turn on ignition 4 times press the lock key and tap the middle button 3 times or whatever) and it didn't work. Is it possible to get a new battery? Otherwise about how much does a new key cost?
Welcome to NAM! Congratulations on the purchase! I believe key fobs for the 2005-2006 MINI's have the battery soldered in place and they're welded together. Check out this useful NAM thread here for assistance with repairing it. Let me know if you have any questions or need anything else for your MINI.
Nice! Great choice for wheels on it, too. More pictures of your car. What's the bra/flat plastidip or whatever on the nose? Looks good. Classy Mini in all black.

Thanks! Its a clear bra. I'm scared to remove it as I'm sure its been there quite a long time. I don't want any paint to peel off with it.
I was driving it last night and I noticed the heat wasn't very hot, then I saw the temp gauge pegged all the way to the top, pulled over to let it cool off and found no coolant in the resivour I'll check it out further this weekend. Obviously a coolant leak somewhere. 3 days owning the mini and it already got a flatbed ride back home. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come!
Also, I can't believe there is no "low coolant" icon on the dash! Thats crazy to me.

Its a little bit of a job to remove and when it does come off you might have a little ghosting effect which will need a good buff and blend with a DA to get most of its fixed.
