Back in the fold

Well, I'm glad to say that I've rejoined the MINI family. I had an '02 Cooper I purchased new way back when. At the time, I had two pretty young kids and all was well. They fit pretty nicely in the back.

In '08, my wife and I had child number three, which led to trading in the MINI for a minivan. Not as fun, but needed something that had room for three kids.

This last Summer, a beautiful thing happened. My two older kids have flown the coop. I was sad to see them go, but sitting at the dinner table a couple months ago, marveling at the quiet of just my wife and youngest daughter and me, it dawned on me... we don't need three seatbelts in the backseat anymore!

Fast forward a few weeks and the end of the model year, I got a pretty good deal on a 2015 Cooper S hard top.

I lurk more than anything else, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still around.

Thanks everyone. I will post some pics. I just love the new car. Feel like I got a pretty good deal and have enjoyed the increased hp from the '02 cooper. Like night and day. The "18 rims are a little rough. I think the run flats are going to be going away shortly.
