Hi there - I have a 2002 Mini Cooper Base but it has the panoramic moonroof, xenon lights.

 

Wow that is a clean 2002. whats the production date ?

 

Thanks, I'll check when I get home. I've had her since 2008 and got 100,000 miles on. Just cleaned yesterday, hence the picture from this morning. I'm not showing the back as the typical rust under the tail lights is embarrassing to show

 

Yea, looks great from the front. For the rear, the rust on the older cars are out of warranty, here is the fix if you want to do it. Some body shop can fix its if its just small and localized. They pull the tail lights and fix the section , then treat it.

Wow thanks for the links, unfortunately the rust is pretty bad at this point. I checked my build date, August 2002.

 

Really bad then panels might need replaced. I was just checking if it was one of those rare early 12/2001 builds.
