New to Mini

Hello from the desert,
I have been looking at Mini's for a few years now and just purchased a 2004 S about two months ago in need of many repairs. After complete front suspension rebuild, I am in process of clutch, supercharger service and water pump. In the process of servicing SC I noted that the PTO end is out of oil, but has not chewed up the gears up to bad (actually on the small gear shows much wear). I have been scanning this site for info and came across a post for a Craig Davies electric pump, which has caught my eye and maybe a future mod if and when the gears finally go KAPUT!! Question if anyone knows, with the EWP mod, do you still put oil in the PTO end of the case even tho you are not actually using the PTO?
I have seen some great posts in the forums from this site and look forward to finding many more.. Would be great to hear from anyone in the local area that I can swap Mini stories of with..

Welcome to NAM, Ron! Congratulations on the purchase of your R53! If you need help with your projects be sure to check out our tech articles here. There are definitely a few AZ members roaming around. I think they're more up in the Phoenix area though. If you need anything while you work on your MINI please do not hesitate to ask. Post up some pictures for us too when you can.

Congrats on the new MINI, post up some pics

For that question on the mod I would post in that thread, someone may have experience with it. The forums are a great resource.

Thanks
