Hello everyone. I just bought my first Mini. A 2010 Clubman S. I have been driving my 1995 Jetta since it was new and was pretty long in the tooth so it was time to trade up.

I have been intrigued by the Clubman since I saw one at the International Auto Show some years ago and have a crush on it ever since. I must admit I have never had a vehicle that handles this well. So good.

Been creeping around some of the forums and seems like a good place to find and share some great information. Thanks for having me!

Nice car and welcome! It should be a blast on Terwilliger Rd. I grew up partially in SW Portland near Hillsdale. Lots of good twists there! Motor on!

 

That is a great idea. I was able to rip around on some farm roads out in North Plains this past weekend and was amazed how fast I was taking corners.

I guess I have joined the cult.

 

Piano Man, I just saw you were in Colombia S.C. I was stationed at Shaw AFB in Sumpter for 3 years back in the 90's. I thought Columbia was a bit drab for a state capital but loved Myrtle Beach and Charleston.

 

I've only been here 6 months (moved from Nebraska). No comparison on the fun roads here. Columbia, I hear is on a come back and cleaning up it's act from 20 years ago. We like it so far. Found lots of twists to burn around
