866-ASK-MINI rep can tell you what company and ship your car is traveling on. If the company is WWL, this site can give you some general info although it is a little delayed. https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/. Just need your VIN number entered in "Cargo" field, click button next to it, enter VIN again .

Once you know the name of your ship a great site to track exactly where your ship/car is at http://www.vesselfinder.com. Enter in the name of your ship and a map comes up with close to real time info. Pretty fun. My car is on the ship Salome.

 

Sounds like MINI does loads better tracking their vehicles than the shippers DoD is currently stuck with. 0.o Have fun watching it!

 

The process has actually moved along much quicker than expected - even though August holiday schedule in UK creates a slow down at the Oxford plant. Should be cruising around in next 2-3 weeks after distribution center and then final check at dealership.

 

WWL sounds like a good option. I especially like tracking options and that vesselfinder website will definitely be helpful too! Anyone know anything about a1 auto transport? We've been talking with them about shipping (not new, btw) for a trip to europe. Any other recommendations also welcomed!
