New to Me R53

Wanted to post an introduction thread and thank the board for all the information that the board has provided in getting my mini feet wet. lots of great info on this site, and looks like a great community.

Replaced a 2012 VW Jetta TDI wagon to get this - more fun, wasnt really getting the benefit of being in a diesel (13 miles door to door commute).

the car: 2006 r53, 30k miles, picked it up Monday May 12, 2014. Installed options - hood stripes, HK stereo, HID headlights, LSD, manual transmission, non sunroof car.

since I got it - Audiovox Mediabridge, debadged, added some stickers, oil change, trans fluid flush, brake fluid flush, change air filter, change cabin filter, new spark plugs and wires, M7 strut bar, cabrio front braces

Welcome to NAM, DrFraserCrane and congrats on your fantastic looking MINI. I was considering debadging my Roadster while staring at the trunk lid yesterday. Thanks for the pics and visual inspiration. Happy motoring and please don't forget to promote the MINI wave.
