Hi all. My name is zak. I am an electrician by trade, own a moble electronic business as my second job, and just bought my first mini. Have wanted a mini for a long time. I found a 2003 cooper s that was not running. Id say im pretty mechanically inclinded. Built my first motor at 16, became involved in racing and building circle track cars. Went to school for welding.

Since getting my cooper s with a "blown head gasket" and a have torn down motor, I have since removed the head and took it into the machine shop. It is bent a little. Head gasket was ok. put on a new water pump. Im gonna get it running and drive it and in my spare time do a full on motor build.

Other plans for the car will be a audio system as that is my other job. It will be a super fun build with a trick amp rack and a lot of fiberglass.

 

Oh lord. I mean...woohoo.

 

Welcome to NAM, Zak and congrats on your new MINI. That's quite a laundry list of project but it seems like something you can accomplish. Thanks for the pic up front and don't forget to post pics of your progress.
