Newbie - and looking for JCW
Greetings from frozen Central Wisconsin! I'm a long time sports car enthusiast now looking for a nice used JCW . I look forward to learning here.
I am a former owner of a beautiful custom '91 Miata and I currently have a 2005 Lotus Elise (not selling) pictured here:

Welcome to the forums!
What about the JCW had your eye? If it's the name plate I understand, if you like to modify perhaps there are better options.
Nice elise.

Nice elise.
Thanks!
My son is about to graduate college and into a good career. We're planning to split the cost of a car to send him off; one that he can use as a DD but still has some panache and performance. He really likes the JCWs (partly nameplate) and this way he wouldn't have to do any mods to have what he wants...

I've owned 2. In my opinion, buy a mint r53 non jcw and toss 1500.00 at it and be much further ahead than a jcw car and save a few thousand easy.
heck. I'm at 255whp and have an extremely sorted and nice r53 that costs about as much as a jcw r53 of the same year. With nearly 100 whp less.
