I just replaced the front brake pads on my 02 MC and found no wear sensor on either the right or left side. I understand that only the left front and right rear sides have them. It is obvious that one end of the sensor wire attaches to the brake pad, but where does the other end plug into and how is the sensor wire routed?

 

Early builds do not have brake sensors. I have seen this before. Count yourself lucky.

 

Many folks just twist the wires together on gen1 cars to defeat the sensor...EASY with a gen1... Just check them visually..like winter tire changeover....
and YES some early cars don't have them...
if equipped..you would see a plug hanging near the strut to plug the sensor into.
