Breaking in and power ?

Ok I only have 300 miles on my 13 clubman so not too hard on it yet, but tonight for the first time I drome the wifes 2011 hardtop which has 25K, and WOW , that thing pulls alot harder and hear the turbo really spooled up.

Will the power really increase as it breaks in and rings get seated ?

And what TARD came up with that dip stick ? No idea how much oil in it, watched numerous videos etc and it appears the design is nothing short of the stupidest thing I saw.

Totally agree about the dip stick. I checked the oil in my 2013 Cooper S this morning and I still have no clue if I need oil or not.

The dip stick is horrible. But it actually changes color depending on oil level - very hard to differentiate. I always check mine every 1000 or so in the morning after it has been sitting all night.

Remember that the clubman is heavier than the hardtop, so the hardtop should always feel faster. Weight is a big factor in these cars.

300 lbs is quite significant, its 10%. If you think in terms of power to weight ratio, it would be like a difference of ~18-20 hp.

As far as your original question, I never noticed a difference between pre and post break in period. If you want a little more power look at the JB+ piggyback tune. For $300 it's a lot of fun.

It's out of stock So what is that in line with ? Air flow sensor ? I am quite
versed with GM V8 and use of HP Tuner , so very curious to what and how they are doing .
