Hi-i'm new member & I have a strange problem

Hello - my first post. I am having strange prob with 2007 Mini S. Has anybody ever experienced this? Leaving gym 1 day, walking & talking with a couple. They were parked beside me. We both hit our key at same time to unlock our cars & their key rolled my windows down half way. I think their car was a Ford. We were both shocked. This was about 2 yrs ago. It started happening again last week. In GA, while in restaurant. Came out my windows half way down. In LA, came out of casino and my windows half way down. Called my Mini dealer in Austin & was told this was impossible. They said another person's key can't operate my car. Has anybody ever heard of this. My doors don't unlock but my windows roll down. This is really scary especially when your car is full of your stuff.

You must be hitting the key fob button without realizing it.

I know that the key fob on Gen 2 MINIs can be programmed to slightly open sunroof and windows only. Maybe you have this function activated and never realized it?

My 05 MCS will roll down the windows and open the sunroof only if I hit the unlock button 3x and hold it on the third press for about 5 seconds.

I'm not so sure it's the fob. Something seems off about this though

Check to see if you are pressing and holding, that will roll the windows down.

One day I pressed the lock button on my fob and the alarm went off on the Hyundai next to it. I pushed it again and the alarm went off.
