possible order mistake

I have a question and I hope someone knows.. I have a 2014 mini paceman on order, it's on the assembly line right now as per ask mini.

My question is: I added the auto-dimming rear view mirror. Does that automatically add homelink capability or did I need to add anything else for that?

I don't believe it does. I have a 2013 with auto-dimming but not homelink It would be best to consult your MA.

Sorry to hear about this, but to answer your question, you needed to add (319 Universal garage-door opener) for homelink which is a $250.00 option by itself.

I also have auto dimming with no garage door controls. I just keep a garage door opener in the rail. My wife has the garage door controls in her Clubman, but it didn't make my options list by a long shot.

Yea a $20 "clicker" remote from Home Depot beats the Homelink cost by a mile. I keep mine in the center console.

Agree with the prior posts that it is not included, and that a hand held remote that comes with your garage door opener is a very good (and cheaper) alternative to Homelink.

I've used 3M double stick tape to attach the remote inside the glove box (in my previous MINI). It fits very well (and is hidden) if you stick it in the space under the window switches above the aux in / usb ports.

Best wishes.

My homelink came with the car when I bought it used. I have to push it really hard 2-3 times to get it to work. Not a necessary option in my opinion. You can get a rally small remote about the size of a matchbox car and Velcro it somewhere.
