So for my 31st birthday yesterday I took a day off work to remove SC and change oil, change all gaskets, replace water pump, thermostat, hoses, belt, crankshaft sensor oring/seal....will be putting on polyflex bushings if they get here on time for motor mount and on tensioner bushing, and put on my 15% pulley if i can just get old damn one of my sc. I have not worked on cars before getting my 2007 r52 S...and I do have the bentley manual and have printed out the pelican articles for each procedure I am doing. I am at the point where I am about to start puting back to together but wondering are there any substances I should be applying like between the thermostat housing and mating service, or on any particular bolts or anything? The only thing Ive seen so far is some kind of silicone lube for the oring on the water pump. If anyone has any tips I would greatly appreciate it . I am getting nervous putting back together. Its has been a very wearing day and a half!. thank you
