New MCS Owner
Hello everyone! My name is Jeremy and I just picked up my "new" 07 Mini Cooper S with 29,800 miles for $15,750 OTD. Couldn't pass it up. The only thing that is wrong with it is a couple scuffs on the bumpers and they managed to crack a couple mounting tabs on the front bumper that hold the drivers side fender flare. You still have to look to find it though.

What prompted this purchase is a job change. At the job I just finished up, I had a company vehicle to take home. With the new one I don't have that same luxury. My "daily" at that time, which is now creeping up on 173,000 miles was fine for zipping around town after work, but don't want to trust it for the 45 minute drive to work one way. So, in come the Mini as my sensible daily driver, which gets good mileage (avg. around 35 right now). Now what makes what to most people is a toy so sensible is what I do with my other car. See, I have been, and am a Subaru guy at heart, and have always loved rally. My Subie is my rally-x car and now that I have something else, will be moving to a "dedicated" rally car. Here she is in action.

Now, anyone who knows me knows I can't leave a car alone. Unfortunately I am going to have to do my best to leave the mini alone until it is completely paid off. However, I have already completed the front/rear speaker swap, and plan on a subtle catback, a boost gauge, and a set of wheels and tires for now. If I get a spare bit of cash, I will probably do a vinyl wrap on it as well. I've done a few cars now and it has always looked great.
I'm look forward to learning what I can and helping any way possible. Thanks.

Welcome to NAM, Jeremy and congrats on your new MINI. Looks fantastic and sounds like a great deal.
Thanks for the pics right out of the gate. We love pics here at NAM. What we love more is when new MINI owners do their best to promote the MINI wave. When you're on the road, please don't forget to wave at other MINI drivers. Don't be put off if they don't wave back. Happy and safe motoring!

Thanks for the welcome guys. It's not just here that loves pics. It's every forum I've been a part of. I understand all about the wave having previously ridden a motorcycle until a deer cut that short. And there is the subie wave. With both I have developed a method of what I'll wave at and I'm sure the same will happen with the mini, but I'll always wave back unless they are part of a group I don't support. (Wouldnt wave to people not wearing helmets on a bike and wont wave at the ken block fanbois in the subie).
Been here for a day and have already picked up a lot of useful information and love the things you didn't know about your r56 thread. Hopefully I will get to the point where I can help new people like everyone has indirectly helped me.
