I have been keeping track of this thread but have not posted often. But see your posts around the site.
I have a bit over 1300 trouble free miles on the S Coupe.
It is a blast to drive. A couple of out of State trips to Missouri and Arkansas ( both states are close to home in OK) have been the majority of the miles. The weather is limiting spirited driving at the moment. I have been grinning to much for an old guy. Wishing I was back in Florida on days like this.
I have the oil and filter ready to change at 1500 miles. Then every 5k is the plan. Purchased the Craven Speed dip stick , it is much easier to read than the OEM version.
I am happy to hear Raven girl is very close to getting her MINI and Join in on the fun.
She does seem to be a very nice young lady and has been waiting a long time.

Wishing everyone a great Thanksgiving holiday. I have much to be Thankful for.

I ordered every thing I wanted and other than the dip stick plan to leave it as is with the exception of a set of winter tires and rims.

I took delivery Friday. It's in the shop now having the hand controls installed. I will post pictures then.

was out cruising the PCH and stopped by the navy base in port hueneme...drove past the W&W buildings and waved to the MINIs

 

Just got the call that my '13 JCW will be here in Vancouver on the 12th after more than two months of waiting, reading this forum endlessly.

Just got my production number for my 2014 JCW Coupe.

Quick Question: The "Track My Mini" feature on the OL has an option that lists the Factory Ordered Options. Is this a complete list, or is it capped at 5 items. That is, if I ordered something and it doesn't show on this list should I be worried, or is this list incomplete/capped.

 

I'm not aware of any "cap" on the number of factory ordered options that are listed on MINI OL. (My production list had more than 5). However, I believe it may only include items that are installed at the factory, and not items (like stripes) that are installed at the VDC or at your dealer. The options listed on your original MINI order form are what will be installed on the car when you take delivery.

 

Just popping back in after a few weeks away... glad to see everyone getting their rides....

swiftaw - there are two scroll buttons on the list of options... I too was curious as to the lack of displayed options.... try clicking the lower one on your selection list. It should show you more (5 at a time) - not the best web experience from Mini.

 

Mine didn't show all the options but the Roadster came in with everything I ordered.

 

My MA called me today to inform me that production started today for my order (R57). The owner's lounge still has it listed as "on order" since 4 January and no VIN. 20 days from the day I placed the order to start of production. Yea!

 

just an update. The Mini tracker didn't list all my options, but when I put my VIN into here: http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html it listed exactly what I ordered.

Also, my MINI is on the boat. It's on COURAGE which is due to dock in Baltimore on the 29th.

 

My MINI Clubman S was ordered on 12/3 and is finally on the Tosca due to dock on 1/30/14. The wait has been painful. No one would admit it but I am sure the factory closed for several weeks during the holiday because my production started on 12/6 and wasn't completed until 1/16. Luckily it got on a ship right away and will soon be home. I will post pics as soon as I get delivery.

 

My Mini was unloaded in Baltimore yesterday. Online tract says expected date to dealer is Feb 5, although my MA said Feb 7. They have a few things to install, so I'm guessing I'll take ownership around Feb 11 or 12.

 

MA called me this morning. They have my MINI. Hoping that I can pick it up tomorrow.

My countryman all4 comes in next week! I got it as black as it can be like my mini now, I'll pick up where mini left off. I do have to say though I'm really going to miss my cooper s. It's just not practical because I do craft shows and hike all the time with three dogs, it's not big enough. But I'm so excited about all the new features I got in the new mini like the black housing lights and better stereo! Does anyone else feel like their old mini is crying in the driveway waiting to get traded in?

I called ASK MINI as to why it has stayed in "awaiting transport" for so long and the representative could not tell my why nor could he locate my car. He was very friendly but I got the impression he had not seen this happen before.

As of 15 Feb my status has interestingly changed from "awaiting transport" to...

"Scheduled for Production" without an estimated date... I hope it shows up at the VDC somehow. I don't want to wait another 6-8 weeks for a replacement order (but I will if the car was lost). Call back on Monday to try to get more information.
