About another month to wait while it takes a slow boat to CA.

Awesome. I can't vouch for the Sea Monsters...
Damn I knew if Al Gore did not get my Penny with his icebergs he'd think of something else.... now I gots to be worried about his Sea Monsters.
Time to hit the Bourbon

I am wishing your Mini Bon Voyage"
My CM finished production yesterday!
I ordered my 2014 Crystal Silver CM All4 on August 20. My MA emailed me yesterday to let me know it was finished. I'm sooo excited! I've wanted a MINI for a long time. I was glad to find this support group as the wait is so hard!
You're probably about 4 weeks until you can take and share a picture of your CM. Your support group is partial to single malt scotch (or whatever you may enjoy) to help the wait (seem to) go faster.
Thanks! I just finished reading all the posts. Apparently, I'm also in pack 112. My port is Brunswick, GA. They are installing the driving lights there as well. After reading about the delays at the VDC, I'm even more stressed. However, it sounds like I'm in the right support group as I do enjoy adult beverages. Waiting on a mini definitely makes me want to sip a bit more than usual!
Raising a glass of Booker's Bourbon to toast your arrival. Can not drink that single malt stuff yet. Post more pic's when you can
No need to feel bad...you'll be driving your new MINI very soon! Enjoy and be sure to wave!
Delivery to the West Coast in such short time. Wow! Congratulations on the ride, Shubert.
Great news! Was it built in Oxford?
You will be able to post pictures soon.
;-)
I don't know if I could sleep. I feel like a 57 year-old kid awaiting Christmas.
Almost Here!
Just got a return call from my MA that my MINI will be at the dealer on Tuesday 9/10! We'll plan to pick it up that afternoon, and will post pics asap.
All in all, that would make 49 days after placing my order, and 36 days after the start of production to dealer delivery in the Chicago area.
Now that it seems like the late-August Oxford log-jam is over and things are back up to speed, I hope my friends on NAM will also be getting their own good news on delivery very soon!
Enjoying a Jack Daniels on the rocks to celebrate!

I appreciate your timeline breakdowns. If I approximate your schedule from the production start date [9/4], delivery to Northern Virginia should occur by 10/10. I might shave time off because my ship docks at Baltimore, only an hour's drive from my MINI dealership. You're quite a bit further north and west in Chicago.
It figures. We leave for a two week vacation along the Florida Gulf Coast on 10/12. I may have the Roadster a few days before leaving, or I might have to wait an additional two weeks before I see it.

My "Penny" she has been built
and is awaiting transport to the carrier. I have set my expectations for her to hit the water on the 15th. It would be a minor miracle for her to ship to Jersey City on the ship leaving the 8th. I will check the WW Caargo site here shortly and multiple times over the weekend I'm sure.
I have joinied a growing group of Miniacs awating transport dodging TampaDave's fictitious Cat 5 storms filling the Atlantic at this moment.
We will be opening a bottle of Two Hands "Ares" to toast her completion this evening.

Sorry you missed the most recent voyage, but it would have been pretty hard to get it on a ship so quickly after being built. Hope you get booked on a WW ship, as they are much easier (and fun) to track and get info and updates.
Early October will be just fine plenty of the New England fall weather left for some nice scenic rides.
