Watch us win our 2014 Roadster on Wheel of Fortune this Friday!

Our Roadster set sail today at 3pm on the Toledo! We won her on Wheel of Fortune on January 10th (airs this Friday). Production began on June 21st, completed on July 2nd and she just sailed past the Isle of Wight after embarking today. Anyone else out there tracking the Toledo with me?

Very cool. My Mom was on Wheel of Fortune years ago. IIRC some of her winnings took forever to arrive. As I am sure you are aware, you need to be ready for the IRS...

How was the car optioned out? Did they allow certain basic options and you were able to pick the colors/no-charge options, etc? Were you able to add more options that you wanted and pay the difference? Just curious how all of this works when you win a car. We will be sure to watch this Friday. Congratulations, I know you will love your Roadster.

Surprisingly, we had a ton of flexibility regarding the car we won on Wheel of Fortune (unlike the Sandals trip, which was locked into the destination we won). We could have ordered any Mini, but we stuck with the Roadster and we stayed pretty close to what was on the set that day (had we changed the model or color, there would have been a feeling of disconnect from our moment of glory, lol) The Roadster on the set was valued at 29,250. Since it wasn't an S, I'm assuming it was automatic transmission and maybe had some other goodies that we didn't pick up on during our 90 seconds with the car that day. Since we went Standard transmission and since the price went down about $700 from the time we won till the time we ordered, we only went about $700 over the $29,250 figure which aint bad considering we upgraded to the S, mini connected, rooster red interior trim and a couple other goodies. We got banged for $2100 sales tax and I had to get a new job to prepare for April 2014 income tax, but it will be well worth it once the Roadster arrives
