My wife and I were all set to take the plunge on our first Mini( a covertible S) and even had an appointment with the dealer here in Virginia to place the order when we got a phone call from our MA stating that her manager just told her they could not place any more orders for convertibles for the rest of the year. HUGE Disappointment! I guess we will have to visit some more dealers this summer to keep an eye out for one with the colors and options we are looking for. Has anyone else had this happen this week?

He likely meant model year... As in try again in August when the '14s are available for order.

It's a pretty regular occurrence during the summer changeover, especially when they're doing a significant overhaul like they are for the 13s to the 2014 model.

Keep shopping! You might find one you like.

 

Which dealer were you working with?

 

Tell the dealer to search US dealerships inventory database and see if they can find one like your build specs.

The dealer I bought my Countryman from last week had a few on the lot. Not sure if they had any S's. beautiful white one in the showroom.
